The Emerald Apartment is a 70 m² residential interior design project completed in București in 2025. Commissioned by a young professional couple, the brief called for a space that felt both sophisticated and genuinely liveable — a home that would stand up to daily life without sacrificing elegance.
The design centres on a rich, nature-inspired palette of deep greens, warm taupes, and brushed brass accents. Custom-designed cabinetry runs throughout the apartment, maximising storage while maintaining clean visual lines. Layered lighting — combining recessed ceiling fixtures, pendant statement pieces, and targeted accent lighting — allows the atmosphere to shift from energising in the morning to intimate in the evening.
Every material was specified with longevity and tactility in mind: natural oak veneer, textured linen upholstery, and hand-finished plaster walls. The result is an interior design in București that feels curated rather than decorated — a space with a clear identity that will only improve with time.
